The whitetail rut in Montana in 1985 was brutal! 17 days in a row of
-20°
F., with 20-knot winds to boot! After two days of trying to stay in their tree stands longer than 15 minutes at a time,
Karen and Paul invented the “Woolie Boogers.” Paul’s comments on the first trial: “I tested the first pair the
next morning and it was a whole new world! I was able to stay in the stand for four hours and arrowed a 137-inch
whitetail!”
The “Woolie Boogers®”
are made from unshorn sheep hide. They are hand cut and each pair is carefully stitched to insure they’ll last a long
time. They are equipped with belt clips for attachment when you’re walking and nylon string to loop them through the
belt loops when you’re in the stand. When that big buck walks by you, slip them off and they fall quietly
behind you, out of the way of your bow string.
